Leaked-out Bavarian

Here are some special images of the facelifted M5 and how it looks like

After going through plenty of speculations on the next refreshed 5-series range running around in disguise, BMW has accidentally release the full images of the facelifted F10 through their configurator online, which is long enough for visitors to actually download it.

We’re not sure whether that is the final look of the facelifted M5, but it shows that BMW is keen on revealing the mid-life refreshed 5-series very soon. Thanks to the BMW.de forum, here are the first-hand images of the facelifted M5 saloon.

Inclining itself with the rest of the range, the facelifted M5 wears a number of new details. There are minor headlight and taillight adjustments, a redesigned grille with twin vertical slats that follows the new M6.

Inside, the M5 gets a few trim enhancements compared to the former. A new steering that replaces the thick-rimmed M-sport wheel, new touch-sensitive iDrive multimedia system and possibly a choice of different seat trims.

Despite the changes on the exterior, it is reported that the facelifted M5 will soldier on with the same, 4.4 twin-turbo V8 engine which churns out 560bhp and 680Nm. But BMW is offering an optional package to boost up its performance credentials. Known as the Competition Package, it is said to bring in an additional 15bhp along with new, 20-inch alloys, a sportier damping setup and uprated M-sport Dynamics driving mode.
