BANDAR BAHARU, 14 Nov (Bernama) -- Seorang murid Melayu yang belajar di

Sekolah Jenis Kebangsaan Tamil (SRJKT) Ladang Buntar, Serdang dekat sini

mencatat keputusan 5A dalam peperiksaan Ujian Pencapaian Sekolah Rendah

(UPSR) yang diumumkan hari ini.

Apa yang menarik murid berkenaan Nor Azwani Abdul Rashid, 12, merupakan

satu-satunya calon yang menduduki UPSR dari sekolah itu tahun ini.

Berikutan itu juga, sekolah berkenaan menjadi sekolah terbaik bagi kategori

luar bandar dengan kelulusan 100 peratus.

Dia memperoleh keputusan A dalam mata pelajaran Bahasa Tamil Pemahaman

selain mata pelajaran Bahasa Malaysia, Bahasa Malaysia Pemahaman, Bahasa

Inggeris dan Matematik.

Bagi subjek Bahasa Tamil Penulisan, Nor Azwani mendapat B.

UPSR-TAMIL 2 BANDAR BAHARU

Nor Azwani yang ditemui pemberita di sekolah tersebut hari ini berkata dia

tidak menghadiri sebarang tuisyen di luar tetapi bergantung sepenuhnya kepada

pengajaran yang disampai guru-gurunya.

"Guru-guru banyak membantu saya. Selalu juga mereka akan mengambil dan

menghantar saya pulang untuk menghadiri kelas tambahan pada sebelah malam,"

katanya.

Ditanya mengenai rancangan masa depannya selepas ini, Nor Azwani berhasrat

untuk menyambung pelajaran di sekolah berasrama penuh dan bercita-cita menjadi

seorang pendidik.

Guru Besar sekolah tersebut S. Malarvili berkata hasil kerja keras para

guru dan Nor Azwani mematuhinya, dia berjaya membawa kejayaan kepada dirinya dan

juga sekolah yang terpencil di ladang kelapa sawit itu.

Anak kesembilan daripada 10 beradik itu sememangnya berminat untuk belajar

di sekolah Tamil dan kini amat fasih menguasai bahasa tersebut selain mendapat

galakkan daripada keluarganya yang telah lebih 50 tahun menetap di ladang

tersebut.

UPSR-TAMIL 3 (AKHIR) BANDAR BAHARU

Bapanya Abdul Rashid Sahul, 54, adalah seorang pemandu lori di ladang

tersebut sementara ibunya Hasnah Mokhtar, 54, bekerja sebagai buruh di

ladang yang sama.

Keluarga itu menetap di kuarters pekerja.

Abdul Rashid berkata keluarganya amat berterima kasih kepada pihak sekolah

terutama guru besar dan guru-guru yang seramai tujuh orang itu kerana

mereka telah memberikan tunjuk ajar yang berguna yang membolehkan anaknya

mendapat keputusan 5A.

Beliau berkata beliau amat berharap kejayaan anaknya akan menjadi contoh

kepada anak lelakinya Mohd Aswad, 11, yang kini berada di Tahun 5 sekolah yang

sama serta anak-anak pekerja ladang yang lain.
