MV Agusta Rivale sneak peak sketch

MV Agusta Rivale sketch

Ahead of its official unveiling at the upcoming EICMA motor show later this month, the MV Agusta Rivale has broken some of its cover, with the Italian manufacturer releasing an official sketch of the upcoming hypermotard-styled motorcycle.

Obviously looking to drum-up some buzz about MV Agusta's third addition to the its three-cylinder range, the company is showing us only the rear three-quarter view of the Rivale. It is clear that MV Agusta has carried over the three-pipe exhaust system that has become an iconic part of the MV Agusta F3 - an element that is beginning to define the company's three-cylinder motorcycles. Speaking of iconic motorcycles, in the rear indicators of the MV Agusta Rivale, we can see some inspiration from the Ducati Diavel, which may turn-off some fans.

While there is currently no word on the engine yet, expect the MV Agusta Rivale to feature a bored/stroked-out 800cc three-cylinder motor (same as the expected-at-Milan MV Agusta Brutale 800), and for to be available in September 2013.
