BETONG, 21 Feb (Bernama) -- Kira-kira 20,000 keluarga di negeri ini kini

menikmati bekalan air bersih menggunakan sistem ''Lifesaver 1M'' yang dimajukan di

negara ini menggunakan teknologi nano British terkini.

Perdana Menteri Datuk Seri Najib Tun Razak hari ini melancarkan sistem itu

di Beladin, sebuah bandar perikanan dan pertanian, kira-kira 60 kilometer dari

sini yang merupakan sebahagian daripada kawasan Parlimen Batang Lupar.

Berucap pada sesi perjumpaan dengan rakyat di perkarangan masjid bandar

Beladin, Najib berkata projek itu merupakan satu lagi testimoni usaha berterusan

kerajaan Barisan Nasional meningkatkan taraf kehidupan rakyat.

Beliau berkata kerajaan melalui Kementerian Kemajuan Luar Bandar dan Wilayah

dan 1Malaysia Development Berhad (1MDB), membelanjakan RM60juta bagi

melaksanakan projek itu.

"Dalam agenda pembangunan kita, kami beri perhatian membantu rakyat

meningkatkan taraf hidup mereka melalui program transformasi.

"Kita mempunyai satu program dengan matlamat untuk membawa kemajuan dan

pembangunan yang menyeluruh dalam negara dan untuk memperbaiki sistem

penyampaian kerajaan. Kita juga mempunyai program transformasi luar bandar yang

bermatlamat membina lebih banyak jalan, membawa lebih banyak projek bekalan air

dan elektrik dan perumahan di kawasan luar bandar di seluruh negara," katanya.

Najib berkata program transformasi jauh lebih bermanfaat daripada agenda

reformasi pembangkang yang hanya akan mencetuskan lebih banyak masalah dan

kerosakan.

Oleh itu, beliau merayu kepada rakyat supaya memberi mandat kepada kerajaan

dalam pilihan raya umum ke-13 bagi memastikan kejayaan program-program yang

dilaksanakan kerajaan lebih-lebih lagi di Sarawak yang merupakan sebuah negeri

yang luas dengan penduduk yang bertaburan.

Beliau berkata tidak seperti pembangkang, kerajaan BN sangat serius

menunaikan janji-janji yang dibuat berhubung kebajikan dan kesejahteraan rakyat.

"Mereka hanya pandai menabur janji manis yang tidak dapat ditunaikan dan ini

bahaya.

"BN mampu berpegang kepada janji-janjinya kerana ia mempunyai sumber untuk

berbuat demikian berikutan kedudukan ekonominya yang kukuh yang mencatat

pertumbuhan 6.4 peratus pada suku keempat 2012, yang juga merupakan satu

daripada yang tertinggi di dunia," katanya.

NAJIB-AIR 3 (AKHIR) BETONG

"Ini juga bermakna ekonomi kita sangat baik. Kita ada banyak dana untuk

melaksanakan lebih banyak projek dan bantuan yang sangat-sangat bermanfaat buat

rakyat seperti bantuan kewangan BR1M (Bantuan Rakyat 1Malaysia) dan kini kita

mengagihkan bantuan BR1M 2.0 yang lebih baik," katanya.

Najib mengulangi sekali lagi jika keadaan ekonomi membenarkannya, kerajaan

akan mempertimbang pemberian BR1M 3.0.

Mengenai kerajaan BN, beliau mengulangi bahawa kekuatannya adalah kerana ia

percaya dengan konsep perkongsian kuasa di kalangan pelbagai kaum di negara ini.

"Kita juga sangat kuat dan stabil kerana kita bukan sahaja berkongsi

kekayaan negara tetapi juga pelbagai cabaran dan masalah yang datang kepada kita

di mana kita percaya dalam perundingan bersama.

"Malah kita juga berkongsi perayaan semua kaum," katanya sambil menambah

tidak seperti pembangkang kerajaan Selangor yang setiap kali berdepan masalah ia

akan menuding jari kepada BN.

"Selangor kini berdepan masalah kekurangan air yang serius tetapi

kerajaannya masih berdegil enggan berunding dan bekerjasama dengan kita bagi

menyelsaikan masalah," katanya.

Sementara itu, Najib berkata beliau sangat gembira dengan lawatannya ke sini

apabila mendapati warga emas sesetengahnya dengan hanya dua gigi menyambut

beliau dengan mesra membawa plakad "Saya Sayang PM".

Beliau berkata ini satu petanda bahawa BN masih dekat di hati mereka dan

menjadi pilihan mereka dalam pilihan raya akan datang.
