Najib wants stronger ties between Umno members and leaders – Bernama
Prime Minister Datuk Seri Najib Tun Razak hopes this year’s Umno General Assembly can boost ties among the leaders and members for the development of the party and nation.
The Umno president in his Facebook and Twitter accounts also expressed hope that the assembly would proceed smoothly and wished the delegates a happy meeting.
"God willing, the assembly may firm up ties among leaders and members to spur Malaysia to success," he said.
Najib also shared photos during yesterday’s assembly, including a picture of himself scrutinising the policy speech text which he will deliver at the opening of the assembly tomorrow.
When surveying the debate at the assembly for the wings today, Najib said all delegates seemed to be in high spirits for the assembly.
"I hope this spirit will be maintained for the continuance of Umno's struggle," he said.
The 2014 Umno General Assembly which gathered 5,739 delegates started on Tuesday and will end on Saturday. – Bernama, November 26, 2014.
