The Gelang Patah MP (pic), who had earlier said hudud was never a vote-winner for PAS in previous elections, gave an illustration of how PR... …

After a blistering start to this season's campaign, Dollah Salleh's side has been inconsistent with their results lately. After three straight league wins, Pahang fell to Johor Darul Takzim's last week which demonstrated that they are currently struggling to compete with teams at the top quarter of the table.

Dollah Salleh will hope that his local stars Fauzi Roslan, Azzamuddin Akil, Amirulhadi and also R. Gopinathan can create a formidable attack and create chances against a Felda United side who, despite their lowly league position, have the fourth best defensive record in the league. This home tie will be vital for the Elephants to close the gap on the top three as they currently sit in 5th place in the table on 20 points, seven points behind league leaders LionsXII.

Felda United's story has been an interesting one this season. In their last three games they have only managed to pick up one point out of the possible nine, although two of those matches were against a tough Selangor side. The team have struggled for goals this season, with their tally of seven goals in 12 matches clearly not good enough. However, Felda United have been more impressive when playing away from home this season, they have only won two games this season and both of these have come on the road.

Sitting dangerously just outside the drop zone, Felda United will be desperate to grab maximum points, or at least a point to pull clear of danger and make up some ground on Kelantan, who are shockingly in ninth place. They will hope that recent recruit, Haitian forward ;Leonel Saint-Preux can provide them more goals as they try to find their first win in three games.

; DID YOU KNOW?

  • Felda United are yet to win at home this season.

  • They have won twice as many points away from home than at home this season.

  • Felda United are just two points away from current champions Kelantan.

  • Pahang ;are very strong at home this season, recording four wins, one draw and only one loss in the league so far.

  • The Elephants are in the Semi-Final of the FA Cup and will meet Johor Darul Takzim in the next round.
