KOTA BELUD, 25 Mei (Bernama) -- Bekas ketua menteri Sabah Datuk Seri Salleh

Said Keruak menggesa Pakatan Rakyat memainkan peranan sebagai parti pembangkang

yang bertanggungjawab dan menghormati keputusan rakyat yang memberikan majoriti

mudah kepada Barisan Nasional (BN) pada pilihan raya umum ke-13 (PRU13)

baru-baru ini.

Sambil menyifatkan Penasihat PKR Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim sebagai gila kuasa

kerana tidak dapat menerima kekalahan, beliau berkata Anwar tidak sepatutnya

mempersoal keputusan PRU13 dan kesahihan kerajaan persekutuan hari ini.

"Menang tetap menang dan kita mengamalkan demokrasi. Dia (Anwar) tidak perlu

menggunakan orang muda untuk mengejar kepentingan peribadinya menjadi perdana

menteri, sebaliknya mendidik mereka dengan menekankan prinsip-prinsip pilihan

raya demokrasi di mana yang kalah mesti dapat menerima yang menang.

"Kita perlu bergerak ke depan. Kita akan bertarung sekali lagi pada pilihan

raya akan datang, saya berpendapat orang ramai sudah bosan dengan cara dia

berpolitik. Sebenarnya BN tewas di Kadamaian (kerusi dewan undangan negeri (DUN)

di Kota Belud), dan kami menghormati keputusan dan tidak akan menganiaya

pengundi..sebaliknya, kami akan bekerja keras untuk menguasainya semula,"

katanya pada majlis kesyukuran sempena kemenangan BN di Dewan Komuniti Kota

Belud di sini hari ini.

Turut hadir Menteri Kesejahteraan Bandar, Perumahan dan Kerajaan Tempatan

Datuk Abdul Rahman Dahlan, yang juga anggota Parlimen Kota Belud.

Salleh, yang juga timbalan ketua perhubungan Umno Sabah dan Adun Usukan

menegaskan bahawa kerajaan BN sekarang adalah ''kerajaan majoriti dan bukan

kerajaan minoriti".

"Kita menerima demokrasi berasaskan kepada sistem parti. Kerajaan minoriti

bermakna tiada parti yang menang lebih daripada separuh jumlah kerusi yang

ditandingi. Pada pilihan raya baru-baru ini, sudah jelas BN menang lebih

daripada itu," katanya.

Berhubung cakap-cakap bahawa BN akan dibuka kepada keanggotaan langsung,

beliau berkata kempen itu perlu dipertingkatkan dengan satu pendekatan baharu

bagi memenangi hati pengundi muda dan bandar.

Sementara itu, Salleh yang juga Ketua Umno Bahagian Kota Belud mengucapkan

terima kasih kepada pengundi yang memberikan mandat kepada BN untuk mentadbir

negara dan Sabah.
