PUTRAJAYA, 27 Mac (Bernama) -- Pameran yang menjadi sebutan ramai di seluruh

dunia, ''1001 Inventions'', akan membuka tirai jelajah di Asianya di Pusat Sains

Negara, Kuala Lumpur pada Jun tahun ini.

Diiktiraf sebagai pameran bergerak terbaik dunia oleh Museum and Heritage

Excellence Awards di London pada 2011, ''1001 Inventions'' dilawati lebih tiga

juta pengunjung ketika diadakan di London, Istanbul, New York, Los Angeles,

Washington DC dan Timur Tengah.

''1001 Inventions'' versi Malaysia akan memperagakan lebih 60 bahan pameran

untuk memberi peluang kepada pengunjung daripada pelbagai lapisan usia meraih

pengalaman secara langsung, interaktif dan mesra keluarga melalui penggunaan

teknologi tercanggih.

Pameran ini memberi peluang unik kepada rakyat Malaysia dan pelancong untuk

melihat dari dekat keajaiban ciptaan sains yang lahir daripada tamadun Islam.

Siri jelajah Malaysia ini, yang diberi judul "1001 Inventions: Glorious

Muslim Civilisation", dianjurkan dengan kerjasama Science Discoveries Sdn Bhd

dari Kuala Lumpur, yang sebelum ini membawa beberapa pameran sains ke Malaysia

dengan kerjasama Muzium Sains London.

NG-PAMERAN 2 (AKHIR) PUTRAJAYA

Menteri Pelancongan Datuk Seri Dr Ng Yen Yen berkata Malaysia adalah negara

Asia pertama yang menjadi tuan rumah pameran ini berikutan kedudukannya sebagai

destinasi ideal bagi penganjuran acara dan pameran bertaraf antarabangsa.

Katanya sebagai negara Islam yang maju dan progresif, Malaysia juga

merupakan tempat terbaik untuk menjadi hos pameran luar biasa ini.

"Pameran interaktif ini akan melonjakkan industri pelancongan kita dan

meningkatkan lagi penarafan kita sebagai destinasi pelancongan Islam terulung di

dunia," katanya pada sidang akhbar di sini hari ini.

Turut hadir Timbalan Menteri Pelancongan Datuk Dr James Dawos Mamit, ketua

setiausaha Kementerian Pelancongan Datuk Dr Ong Hong Peng dan pengarah urusan

Science Discoveries Sdn Bhd David Oh.

Dr Ng berkata pameran dwibahasa (Melayu-Inggeris) ini juga akan menjelajah

negeri lain di Malaysia.

Pameran ''1001 Inventions'' merupakan inisiatif pendidikan global yang

bertujuan memupuk kesedaran tentang pencapaian bidang sains dan kebudayaan dalam

tamadun Islam sejak abad ke-7 dan sumbangannya dalam membina asas dunia moden.

Ia memperagakan pelbagai bahan pameran, paparan dan persembahan interaktif,

yang meliputi pelbagai bidang serta memperlihatkan bagaimana ciptaan moden dalam

pelbagai bidang seperti kejuruteraan, perubatan dan reka bentuk, boleh menjejaki

asal usulnya daripada tamadun Islam.

Bayaran masuk ditetapkan RM20 untuk dewasa dan RM15 untuk kanak-kanak.
