Rakyat (Mara) diminta merebut peluang atas pelbagai insentif yang diumumkan

Perdana Menteri Datuk Seri Najib Tun Razak pada pembentangan Belanjawan 2013,

Jumaat lepas.

Timbalan Menteri Kemajuan Luar Bandar dan Wilayah Datuk Hasan Malek berkata

pelajar khususnya dalam bidang kemahiran perlu lebih inovatif dan kreatif bagi

meningkatkan taraf sosioekonomi mereka.

Sebagai contoh katanya pelajar dalam bidang automotif boleh merebut peluang

menjadi usahawan dalam bidang berkenaan melalui dana yang diwujudkan kerajaan.

"Kita mahu pelajar di bawah Mara menggunakan kemahiran yang dipelajari untuk

dibawa ke satu tahap lebih tinggi, bukan sekadar menjadi pekerja yang boleh

membaiki kereta di bengkel-bengkel," katanya kepada pemberita selepas merasmikan

IPMArace di Melaka International Motosports Circuit di sini, hari ini.

Sebanyak 27 pasukan daripada institusi pendidikan Mara dan institusi

pengajian tinggi tempatan menyertai perlumbaan bertujuan memberi peluang kepada

pelajar mengaplikasi kemahiran teknikal dalam menghasilkan jentera lumba.

Perdana Menteri dalam Belanjawan 2013 melancarkan pertandingan ''Lautan Biru

1Malaysia For Youth'' atau 1M4U bagi golongan belia mempersembah idea kreatif dan

inovatif menerusi pertandingan di peringkat tempatan, negeri dan kebangsaan.

Bagi membantu usahawan muda dalam bidang informasi, komunikasi dan teknologi

(ICT), sebuah yayasan dengan nama ''New Entrepreneur Foundation'' akan ditubuhkan

dengan peruntukan permulaan RM50 juta bagi program latihan dan bimbingan selain

''Young Entrepreneur Fund'' juga diwujudkan dengan peruntukan RM50 juta,

disediakan SME Bank.

Dana pinjaman mudah alih itu bagi belia berumur 30 tahun ke bawah dengan

subsidi kadar pinjaman sebanyak dua peratus dan had maksimum pinjaman sebanyak

RM100 ribu serta bayaran balik, selama tujuh tahun.

Dalam pada itu, Hasan turut meminta tenaga pengajar di institusi pendidikan

Mara agar membantu para pelajar dengan memberi galakan dan bimbingan bagi

membolehkan mereka mencapai cita-cita.
