SANDAKAN, 1 April (Bernama) -- Sebanyak 144 rumah di Rancangan Sungai Luboh

bakal menikmati bekalan air bersih apabila pemasangan meter air dilakukan secara

percuma di kediaman berkenaan tidak lama lagi.

Perkara itu diumum sendiri Ketua Menteri Sabah Datuk Seri Musa Aman, wakil

rakyat kawasan berkenaan, ketika melawat Pusat Daerah Mengundi Rancangan Sungai

Luboh hari ini.

"Bagi meringankan beban penduduk kampung ini, saya meluluskan permohonan

pemasangan meter air bagi membolehkan mereka mendapat bekalan air bersih,"

katanya ketika berucap.

Anggota Dewan Undangan Negeri Sungai Sibuga itu berkata menjadi keutamaan

kerajaan untuk memastikan penduduk di kawasan ini, yang terletak di luar bandar,

menikmati kemudahan yang disediakan untuk keselesaan mereka.

Beliau berkata meskipun terletak di kawasan luar bandar, penduduk Rancangan

Sungai Luboh, yang merupakan peneroka tanaman kelapa sawit di bawah Lembaga

Kemajuan Tanah Sabah, turut mendapat kemudahan jalan raya dan bekalan elektrik.

Terdahulu, Ketua Pusat Daerah Mengundi Rancangan Sungai Luboh Hassan Kibing

dalam ucapannya berkata meskipun bekalan air bersih sudah disalur ke kampung itu

sejak dua tahun lepas, namun masih ramai penduduk belum menyambung air ke rumah

mereka.

Beliau berkata ini disebabkan beban kewangan yang dihadapi penduduk di

kawasan itu.

Sehubungan itu, Hassan berterima kasih kepada Musa yang meluluskan

permohonan pemasangan meter air di rumah penduduk, membabitkan kos RM350 bagi

setiap rumah.
