KOTA KINABALU, 15 Nov (Bernama) -- Seorang pengurus ladang kelapa sawit dan

penolongnya dilaporkan diculik sekumpulan lima lelaki bersenjata api dari sebuah

ladang di kawasan pedalaman di bahagian pantai timur Sabah, semalam.

Ladang tersebut terletak kira-kira dua kilometer dari kawasan pantai,

bersebelahan tanah rancangan Felda Sahabat 15, kira-kira 50km dari pekan Lahad

Datu.

Pesuruhjaya Polis Sabah Datuk Hamza Taib berkata kedua-dua mangsa lelaki itu

berusia 25 dan 33 tahun itu, dari Semenanjung, dan mempunyai tali persaudaraan

itu menggunakan nama keluarga Tung.

Beliau berkata kedua-dua mangsa itu dipecaray diculik antara pukul 3.30

petang dan 4.30 petang dan setakat ini, tiada tuntutan atau pihak yang mengaku

bertanggungjawab dalam penculikan tersebut.

Hamza berkata semasa kejadian itu, kedua-dua mangsa bersama dua pekerja

mereka yang sedang menjalankan kerja harian di rumah sarang burung walit (dalam

kawasan ladang kelapa sawit) telah didatangi oleh lima lelaki yang bersenjata

api dan seorang daripada mereke memakai topeng.

SABAH-CULIK 2 KOTA KINABALU

"Mereka yang menggunakan logat ''Suluk'' kemudian telah menculik mangsa dan

membawa mereka dengan menaiki bot engin sangkut lalu menghilangkan diri dari

pantai Lahad Datu," katanya pada media di ibu pejabat polis kontinjen Sabah di

Kepayan, dekat sini, hari ini.

Hamza berkata polis mengkelaskan kes itu sebagai culik dan disiasat mengikut

Seksyen 365 Kanun Keseksaan yang mana jika sabit kesalahan boleh dipenjara tidak

lebih tujuh tahun dan boleh dikenakan denda.

Katanya jumlah kerugian berdasarkan laporan daripada keluarga mangsa ialah

sekitar RM28,000.

"Setakat ini motif kes ini kita percaya rompakan dan kita tidak tahu kenapa

mereka diculik, dan antara barang yang dilarikan ialah telefon bimbit, rantai

emas, cincin emas dan dua set kunci kereta pacuan empat roda,"

katanya.

Hamza berkata sebaik sahaja menerima laporan angoota keluarga mangsa pada

kira-kira pukul 4.45 petang, polis bersama pasukan keselamatan lain

termasuk Tentera Udara Diraja Malaysia (TUDM) dan Agensi Penguatkuasaan Maritim

Malaysia (APMM) melancarkan gerakan mengesan mangsa culik itu.

SABAH-CULIK 3 (AKHIR) KOTA KINABALU

Ditanya sama ada kes penculikan itu dirancang dan penculik yang memakai

topeng itu merupakan dalangnya, beliau tidak menolak kemungkinan itu sambil

berkata: "Llelaki pakai topeng itu mungkin kenal dengan orang di sini...kalau

tidak, saya tidak percaya ada keperluan pakai topeng".

Mengenai kemungkinan pembabitan kumpulan Abu Sayyaf dalam kes itu, katanya

tiada petanda setakat ini namun siasatan akan merangkumi semua aspek termasuk

pembabitan kumpulan itu.

Hamza berkata polis Sabah SEDANG bekerjasama dengan pasukan keselamatan

negara jiran bagi mengesan mangsa dan kumpulan penculik itu.

Ditanya sama ada mangsa culik itu masih berada di negara, Hamza berkata

beliau tidak pasti sama ada mereka masih berada di kawasan itu atau dilarikan ke

negara jiran.
