SHAH ALAM, 17 Ogos (Bernama) -- Percubaan lima lelaki untuk merompak mesin

pengeluaran wang tunai automatik (ATM) di sebuah bank di Universiti Kebangsaan

Malaysia (UKM), Bangi Rabu lepas gagal selepas perbuatan mereka disedari

pengawal keselamatan di universiti itu.

Ketua Jabatan Siasatan Jenayah Selangor SAC Mohd Adnan Abdullah berkata

dalam kejadian kira-kira pukul 7.40 malam, seorang pengawal keselamatan UKM

ternampak dua lelaki dalam keadaan mencurigakan di depan sebuah bank dalam

universiti itu, ketika membuat rondaan.

Katanya apabila pengawal menanyakan tujuan mereka berada di sana, suspek

mendakwa mereka mendapat panggilan telefon mesin ATM itu mengalami kerosakan dan

kedua-dua suspek terus bertindak melarikan diri apabila banyak soalan ditanya.

"Pengawal yang mengesyaki sesuatu pelik berlaku kemudian mendapati ada kesan

terkopak di pintu gril bank itu dan terhidu bau hangit.

"Selepas beberapa minit kemudian, kedua-dua suspek datang kembali ke tempat

sama dan seorang daripada mereka berjaya ditahan oleh pengawal itu manakala

seorang lagi melarikan diri menggunakan motosikal," katanya kepada pemberita di

pejabatnya di Ibu Pejabat Polis Kontinjen Selangor di sini, hari ini.

POLIS-ATM 2 (AKHIR) SHAH ALAM

Mengulas lanjut, Adnan berkata ketika dalam proses hendak menangkap suspek

itu, tiga lelaki tiba-tiba keluar dari bilik mesin ATM bank itu dan terus

melarikan diri menggunakan dua buah motosikal yang diletakkan di depan bank.

Adnan berkata setelah dimaklumkan mengenai kejadian itu oleh pengawal

berkenaan, polis berjaya menahan seorang lagi suspek di sebuah stesen minyak di

Seksyen 7 di Kajang.

Katanya kedua-dua suspek, berumur 23 dan 26 tahun, yang bekerja sebagai

pengawal keselamatan ditahan reman sehingga esok bagi membantu siasatan.

Beliau berkata polis turut menemui sebatang kuku kambing, dua pasang sarung

tangan dan seunit kunci mangga hasil penangkapan itu.

Dalam satu kes lain, Adnan berkata seorang gadis tempatan berumur 22 tahun

ditemui mati akibat dibunuh di sekitar sebuah apartmen di Flora Damansara awal

hari ini.

Katanya polis menerima maklumat kira-kira pukul 3 pagi mengenai ada wanita

menjerit meminta pertolongan di kawasan flat itu.

Bagaimanapun, katanya tiada sebarang tangkapan dibuat setakat ini.
