Permohonan Bantuan Rakyat 1Malaysia (BR1M) 2014 akan dibuka dari Isnin ini sehingga 31 Januari depan, menurut Kementerian Kewangan dalam satu kenyataan di sini hari ini.

Menurut kenyataan itu penerima BR1M sedia ada tidak perlu mendaftar lagi, tetapi perlu mengemas kini maklumat peribadi termasuk alamat, maklumat anggota keluarga dan akaun bank.

"Bagi pemohon baharu pula boleh mendaftar secara dalam talian atau secara manual dengan mengisi borang permohonan BR1M 2014 secara percuma mulai tarikh tersebut," kata kenyataan itu.

Borang permohonan BR1M 2014 boleh didapati di pejabat cawangan dan pusat khidmat Lembaga Hasil Dalam Negeri (LHDN), Jabatan Pembangunan Persekutuan dan Jabatan Kebajikan Masyarakat atau dimuat turun melalui laman web LHDN di www.hasil.gov.my.

Pembayaran akan dibuat kepada yang layak bermula Februari dan BR1M 2014 dijangka memberi manfaat kepada 5.9 juta isi rumah serta dua juta individu bujang.

Untuk maklumat lanjut, orang ramai boleh menghubungi talian hotline 1-800-88-2716 yang dibuka mulai 23 Dis ini, dari Isnin hingga Jumaat bermula 9 pagi hingga 5 petang.

Ketika pembentangan Bajet 2014, Perdana Menteri Datuk Seri Najib Razak berkata pemberian BR1M 2014 kepada isi rumah berpendapatan bulanan RM3,000 ke bawah akan dinaikkan daripada RM500 kepada RM650, manakala untuk indvidu bujang berusia 21 tahun dan ke atas dengan pendapatan tidak lebih RM2,000 sebulan dinaikkan sebanyak RM50 kepada RM300.

Selain itu, caruman Insurans Takaful Berkelompok Rakyat 1Malaysia atau i-BR1M bernilai RM50 akan diberi kepada semua penerima isi rumah BR1M bagi memberi perlindungan maksimum sehingga RM30,000 kepada penerima sekiranya berlaku kematian atau hilang upaya kekal.

Warga emas berusia 60 tahun ke atas dan tinggal sebatang kara juga akan menerima kenaikan jumlah bantuan daripada RM500 kepada RM650. - Bernama, 17 Disember, 2013.
