KUALA LUMPUR, 23 Jan (Bernama) -- Perumahan Rakyat 1Malaysia (PR1MA) Berhad

sedang mengenal pasti beberapa lokasi tanah kerajaan persekutuan di Kelantan

untuk dibangunkan sebagai perumahan rakyat baharu.

Pengerusinya Datuk Seri Dr Jamaludin Jarjis berkata selain itu, pihaknya

juga sedang melihat tanah swasta dan mencari mana-mana pemaju yang boleh

bekerjasama dalam menjayakannya.

"Kami masih dalam proses perbincangan dengan kerajaan persekutuan termasuk

mengenal pasti lokasi yang bersesuaian.

"Untuk peringkat permulaan ini, kita akan membina 3,000 unit dan

perkembangan seterusnya akan diumumkan kemudian," katanya kepada Bernama.

Program itu antara tujuh projek besar yang diumumkan Perdana Menteri

Datuk Seri Najib Razak ketika melawat Kelantan pada Ahad lepas dan ia bakal

dilaksanakan bagi memajukan negeri itu tidak lama lagi.



Projek lain merangkumi pembinaan lebuh raya Kuala Krai-Kota Baharu,

pembinaan stadium baharu, masjid terbesar, mewujudkan sistem pengangkutan Rapid

Kota Baharu, pembinaan kampus bandar Universiti Teknologi Mara (UiTM) yang boleh

memuatkan 5,000 pelajar dan projek menyelesaikan masalah air.

Selain projek perumahan baharu itu, dilaporkan sebelum ini sebanyak 1,000

unit rumah membabitkan peruntukan hampir RM200 juta di bawah Program Perumahan

Rakyat (PPR) telah dibina di Gua Musang di mana fasa pertama projek itu kini

berjalan lancar.

Projek perumahan ini dilaksana dan dibina di seluruh negeri ini bagi

memastikan masyarakat berpendapatan rendah memiliki rumah.
