Pesuruhjaya PAS Pulau Pinang, Datuk Mohd Salleh Man (gambar) mengesahkan pernah mendapat pinjaman Tabung Ekonomi Kumpulan Usaha Niaga (Tekun) seperti yang didakwa oleh Penasihat Syariah Tekun Nasional, Ustaz Fathul Bari hari ini.

Bagaimanpun kata beliau, ia perkara yang lama berlaku dan tidak begitu mengingati bilakah beliau membuat pinjaman tersebut.

"Pinjaman itu sudah lama sangat, pada tahun 80an atau 90an. Saya pun sudah tidak berapa ingat. Ia berlaku ketika saya masih muda dan tidak memegang sebarang jawatan dah tidak ada kena mengena dengan sekarang," kata beliau ketika dihubungi The Malaysian Insider.

Jelas beliau, pinjaman itu dilakukan bagi tujuan perniagaan yang dijalankannya dahulu.

"Saya pinjam untuk perniagaan. Kebetulan pegawai Tekun adalah kawan maka saya mohonlah tetapi perkara itu hal lama dan  ketika saya tidak ada apa-apa," kata Adun Permatang Pasir yang juga Pengerusi Majlis Agama Islam Pulau Pinang itu.

Mengulas mengenai dakwaan ulama Umno itu yang memetik namanya untuk membuktikan Tekun tidak hanya memberikan pinjaman kepada ahli parti, Salleh menyifatkan ia sebagai perbuatan yang mengungkit.

"Ini semua politik semata-mata sekiranya mereka menggunakan nama saya mengungkit, maksudnya mereka tidak ikhlaslah," katanya.

Salleh berkata demikian bagi mengulas kenyataan Ustaz Fathul Bari yang mendakwa beliau adalah antara bukan ahli Umno yang menerima pinjaman dana Tekun.

Oleh itu, kata Fathul Bari, tidak berbangkit soal peminjam Tekun hanya untuk ahli Umno sahaja sebagaimana yang dilaporkan sebelum ini.

"Tekun tidak pernah membezakan siapa yang mahu meminjam kerana ramai yang bukan ahli parti turut mendapat manfaat daripada program ini seperti Datuk Salleh Man. Jika tidak percaya, kita memang ada rekod pinjaman beliau, malah Tekun juga pernah diberikan kepada kaum India. Jadi mana timbulnya Tekun ini hanya diberikan kepada ahli Umno saja," katanya.

Jelas Fathul Bari, beliau percaya kenyataan Ketua Pengarah tersebut hanya ingin mengingatkan bahawa idea penubuhan Tekun diasaskan oleh Umno ketika Konvesyen di Pulau Pinang pada 1994.

"Saya berada di situ dan memahami apa yang dimaksudkan oleh Rahim. Beliau hanya menceritakan sejarah penubuhan Tekun dan ketika itu beliau adalah tokoh yang bertanggungjawab membentangkan idea itu pada konvesyen. Jadi itulah kebenarannya," katanya.

Tekun Nasional telah diwujudkan hasil daripada resolusi Konvensyen Ekonomi Bumiputera Pulau Pinang pada tahun 1994 bagi membantu usahawan kecil Bumiputera membuat pembiayaan perniagaan.

Setiap tahun kerajaan memperuntukkan dana sebanyak RM300 juta bagi tujuan tersebut.

Sebelum ini, Ketua Pengawai Eksekutif (CEO), Datuk Abdul Rahim Hassan berkata, Tekun diwujudkan untuk membantu ahli-ahli Umno mendapatkan pinjaman. 10 Oktober, 2013.
