PETALING JAYA, 16 Jan (Bernama) -- Polis menafikan dakwaan berlaku kekerasan

terhadap seorang tahanan yang ditemui mati dalam lokap Balai Polis USJ8, Subang

Jaya dua hari lepas.

Ketua Polis Daerah Subang Jaya ACP Yahaya Ramli berkata Chang Chin Te, 30,

ditahan 10 Jan lepas bersama tiga rakannya kerana disyaki anggota geng samun

bersenjata api, ditemui tertiarap dan mulutnya berbuih semasa pemeriksaan polis

pada 8.05 pagi, 14 Jan lepas.

"Pihak polis terus menghubungi Pusat Perubatan Universiti Malaya (PPUM), dan

koroner serta forensik yang memeriksa suspek kemudian mengesahkan kematiannya,"

kata Yahaya kepada pemberita di sini hari ini.

Katanya bedah siasat mendapati suspek yang berasal dari Kampung Subang, Shah

Alam tidak mengalami kecederaan fizikal.

Yahaya berkata semalam isteri suspek membuat laporan di Balai Polis Sungai

Buloh pada 7.47 malam kerana tidak berpuas hati dengan kematian suaminya.

POLIS-LOKAP 2 (AKHIR) PETALING JAYA

"Isteri suspek dalam laporannya mendakwa terdapat kesan luka pada mayat

suaminya iaitu di tangan dan kaki. Sehubungan itu itu pihak kami telah

menubuhkan sebuah pasukan untuk menjalankan siasatan lebih lanjut.

"Kami tidak menggunakan sebarang kekerasan ketika suspek berada dalam lokap

dan berjanji akan membuat siasatan secara terperinci. Kami juga berharap perkara

ini tidak dipolitikkan kerana suspek mati dalam lokap," katanya.

Pada 10 Jan lepas, polis menahan empat suspek berumur 19 hingga 36 tahun itu

di sekitar Subang Jaya di sini hasil maklumat orang ramai dan risikan polis.

"Supek pertama ditahan pukul 3.30 petang selepas polis menyerbu sebuah hotel

di USJ 1 dan menemui tiga kunci kereta berjenama Nissan, satu plastik

lutsinar berisi dadah jenis syabu seberat 1.3 gram, dua buah telefon bimbit

serta resit hotel di dalam beg sandang lelaki itu," katanya.

Yahaya berkata susulan itu, pada hari sama, polis menyerbu sebuah rumah di

kawasan perumahan di USJ 3 dan berjaya menahan tiga lagi lelaki dan merampas 21

buah beg dan dompet, sebilah pedang samurai, tujuh telefon bimbit beserta kad

sim dan dua kad kereta serta sebuah kereta Proton Saga menggunakan

nombor pendaftaran palsu.

Reman kesemua suspek yang tamat semalam disambung sehingga Jumaat ini,

katanya.
