JOHOR BAHARU, 9 April (Bernama) -- Kerajaan akan melancarkan Perumahan

Penjawat Awam 1Malaysia (PPA1M) tidak lama lagi yang menyediakan rumah mampu

milik kepada penjawat awam.

Ketua Setiausaha Negara Datuk Seri Dr Ali Hamsa berkata perumahan itu akan

dibina di atas tanah kerajaan dan ditawarkan pada harga antara 20 dan 30 peratus

lebih rendah berbanding pasaran.

"Sebagai projek perintis, sebanyak 10,000 unit kediaman berkenaan akan

dibina di Putrajaya dan akan dilancarkan oleh Perdana Menteri Datuk Seri Najib

Tun Razak tidak lama lagi.

"Kita juga akan mencari tanah-tanah milik kerajaan yang sesuai di

bandar-bandar besar yang lain termasuk di Johor Baharu untuk tujuan tersebut,"

katanya pada Perjumpaan Bersama Penjawat Awam di Johor di Pusat Islam, di sini

hari ini.

Katanya PPA1M bertujuan membantu penjawat awam membeli rumah di bandar besar

yang pada masa kini berada di luar jangkauan kuasa membeli mereka.



"Harga rumah mampu milik akan ditawarkan dalam lingkungan RM150,000 hingga

RM300,000 dengan keluasan antara 1,000 hingga 1,500 kaki persegi serta

dilengkapi dengan segala kemudahan asas yang diperlukan," katanya.

Beliau berharap PP1AM akan menyuntik semangat penjawat awam di negara ini

untuk bekerja dengan lebih gigih.

Mengenai nasib kira-kira 50,000 pekerja berstatus kontrak di Jabatan

Perpaduan Negara dan Integrasi Nasional (JPNIN), Kementerian Kemajuan Luar

Bandar dan Wilayah (KKLW) serta Kementerian Penerangan Komunikasi dan

Kebudayaan, Ali berkata kerajaan telah bersetuju menyambung kontrak mereka yang

tamat pada 31 Dis nanti untuk tempoh setahun lagi.

Semasa tempoh itu, satu jawatankuasa akan membuat kajian menyeluruh mengenai

perjawatan kontrak dan hasilnya akan dibentang kepada kerajaan.

Majlis hari ini yang dihadiri kira-kira 2,000 penjawat awam itu turut

dihadiri Setiausaha Kerajaan Negeri Johor Datuk Obet Tawil.
