Jamalullail mahu Mesyuarat Suruhanjaya Bersama (JCM) antara Malaysia dan Arab

Saudi dilaksanakan dalam masa terdekat bagi memperkasa hubungan kedua-dua hala.

Menurut baginda, JCM akan menjadi forum penting bagi membincangkan isu dua

hala termasuk menerokai pelbagai peluang kerjasama.

"Antara bidang yang boleh diberi tumpuan ialah sektor pendidikan," titah

baginda pada pertemuan dengan Timbalan Menteri Pendidikan Tinggi Arab Saudi, Dr

Ahmad M. Alsaif di kementerian itu, di sini hari ini.

Hadir sama Timbalan Menteri Perancangan dan Penerangan Arab Saudi Prof.

Abdulkader A. Alfantookh serta Duta Besar Malaysia ke Arab Saudi, Prof Madya

Datuk Syed Omar Alsagoff.

Pada pertemuan itu Dr Ahmad turut diberi taklimat mengenai bidang pengajian

tinggi yang ditawarkan di Perlis oleh Presiden Allianze Universitu College of

Medical Science (AUCMS), Datuk Dr Zainuddin Wazir, Rektor Kolej Universiti Islam

Perlis (KUIPs) dan Dekan Pusat Kejuruteraan dan Inovasi Universiti Malaysia

Perlis (UniMAP), Prof Madya Che Mohd Ruzaidi Ghazali.

Tuanku Syed Faizuddin yang juga Canselor UniMAP semasa pertemuan itu turut

berharap kerajaan Arab Saudi meningkatkan jumlah biasiswa kepada lebih banyak

pelajar Malaysia yang sedang menuntut dalam pelbagai bidang pengajian agama

di negara itu.

Titah baginda, langkah itu akan membantu menarik lebih ramai pelajar

Malaysia melanjutkan pengajian di Arab Saudi terutama bidang Syariah, Hadis,

Usuluddin dan Al-Quran bagi melahikan lebih banyak cendekiawan Islam.

Pada masa sama, baginda turut berharap lebih banyak pelajar Arab Saudi

memilih institut pengajian tinggi (IPT) di Perlis untuk melanjutkan pengajian

berikutan kos yang lebih rendah dengan kualiti pengajian setanding universiti

terkemuka dunia.

Tuanku Syed Faizuddin yang turut diiringi Raja Puan Muda Perlis, Tuanku

Hajah Lailatul Shahreen Akashah Khaliltiba di sini semalam untuk lawatan kerja

dua hari ke Riyadh.

Sementara itu, bertitah pada majlis ''Liqa'' Mawaddah'' yang diadakan di

kediaman rasmi Duta Besar Malaysia ke Arab Saudi di sini malam tadi, baginda

berharap, rakyat Malaysia di Arab Saudi membawa imej sebenar Malaysia yang

mempunyai rakyat berbilang kaum dan sentiasa mengutamakan perpaduan.

Menurut baginda, apa jua tindakan negatif yang dilakukan rakyat Malaysia di

negara luar sudah pasti akan meletakkan imej buruk kepada negara.

"Ini termasuk menyalahgunakan visa umrah untuk tinggal lebih masa akan

menjejaskan pandangan baik pihak kerajaan Arau Saudi terhadap rakyat Malaysia,"

titah baginda.

Tuanku Syed Faizuddin turut menasihati rakyat Malaysia di rantau agar tidak

mudah terpengaruh dengan khabar angin yang disebar melalui media sosial sehingga

menimbulkan keresahan melampau.

Liqa'' Mawaddah merupakan perjumpaan rakyat Malaysia termasuk pelajar di

sekitar Riyadh bagi mewujudkan dan mengukuhkan ikatan silatulrahim.

Pada majlis itu, baginda turut mendengar tazkirah yang disampaikan Mufti

Perlis, Dr Juanda Jaya dan Pengurus Baitulmal Perlis, Ustaz Mohd Nazim Mohd

Noor.
