KUALA LUMPUR, 4 Julai (Bernama) -- Seorang ulama Syria hari ini berkata

semangat dan bantuan daripada rakyat Malaysia amat didambakan dalam membantu

rakyat Syria menghadapi konflik di negara Timur Tengah.

Sheikh Mustafa Al-Sayrafi yang juga bekas anggota Parlimen Syria berkata,

negara itu kini berada dalam keadaan kelam kabut dengan menyaksikan pembunuhan

yang berlaku setiap hari.

"Kami tiada tempat untuk memohon bantuan kecuali dari negara-negara

Islam di sebelah timur seperti Malaysia dan Indonesia serta negara lain untuk

membantu kami dalam situasi sekarang," katanya pada sidang media di sini hari

ini.

Sheikh Mustafa, yang pertama kali berada di Malaysia bersama dua lagi ulama

Syria iaitu Sheikh Muhd Muwafeq Lutfi dan Sheikh Dr Khaled Hasan Hendawi, berada

di negara ini atas jemputan Pertubuhan Ikram Malaysia (Ikram) untuk menjelaskan

keadaan sebenar krisis di Syria.

Beliau berkata keadaan yang semakin meruncing dengan pelbagai bentuk

kemusnahan termasuk ekonomi yang merudum di Syria menyebabkan penduduknya

tenggelam punca bagaimana hendak meneruskan kehidupan.

SYRIA-BANTUAN 2 (AKHIR) KUALA LUMPUR

Sheikh Muhd Muwafeq Lutfi pula berkata Syria bukan sekadar memerlukan

sumbangan berbentuk bantuan kebendaan, bahkan tiupan semangat daripada rakyat

Malaysia sesama Islam.

"Kami mengharapkan rakyat Syria dapat terus bangkit dan kuat untuk

menegakkan keadilan seterusnya keamanan menjadi kenyataan di bumi Syria,"

katanya.

Sementara itu, Naib Presiden Ikram Wan Subki Wan Salleh berkata ketiga-tiga

tetamu dari Syria itu berada di sini bermula hari ini hingga 8 Julai untuk

memberi penerangan kepada rakyat Malaysia berhubung krisis di Syria melalui

ceramah dan jerayawara di masjid sekitar Lembah Klang, Kelantan dan Pulau

Pinang.

Wan Subki turut berkata pihaknya merancang untuk mengadakan pertemuan dengan

Perdana Menteri Datuk Seri Najib Tun Razak dan beberapa pemimpin tertinggi

negara bagi membincangkan pergolakan di Syria.
