KUCHING, 14 Nov (Bernama) -- Persatuan Siswazah Dayak Sarawak (SDGA), dengan

kerjasama Suruhanjaya Perkhidmatan Awam (SPA), sedang berusaha untuk menarik

minat lebih ramai belia Dayak supaya memohon jawatan dalam perkhidmatan awam

persekutuan, kata presidennya Dr Dusit Jaul hari ini.

Beliau berkata SDGA akan mengadakan pertemuan dengan pelbagai badan bukan

kerajaan (NGO) Dayak di ibu pejabat Persatuan Kebangsaan Dayak Bidayuh (DBNA)

di sini esok untuk menyusun program, termasuk siri penerangan ke seluruh negeri,

bagi menggalakkan lepasan sekolah dan siswazah yang layak, membuat permohonan

bagi mengisi jawatan dalam perkhidmatan awam.

"Kami tidak meragui keikhlasan kerajaan yang ingin membantu kami (Dayak)

untuk mengisi kekosongan jawatan dalam perkhidmatan awam, walaupun ia merupakan

suatu cabaran bagi kami daripada segi jumlah dan tempoh masa untuk mengemukakan

sekurang-kurangnya 100,000 permohonan menjelang akhir tahun ini, katanya kepada

Bernama di sini.

Pada 30 Okt tahun ini, beberapa NGO Dayak, termasuk SDGA, mengadakan

perjumpaan dengan pengerusi SPA Tan Sri Mahmood Adam untuk mencari jalan bagi

menambah jumlah pribumi Sarawak dalam perkhidmatan awam, diikuti satu perjumpaan

dengan setiausaha SPA negeri Mohd Saiful Sungkih Abdullah minggu lepas untuk

membincangkan strategi bagi mencapai sasaran tersebut.

Sambil menyatakan bahawa SPA telah melantik 15 wakil daripada anggota

masyarakat Dayak untuk membantu suruhanjaya itu memberi penerangan dan

memperbetulkan salah tanggapan orang ramai terhadapnya, Mahmood berharap lebih

ramai anggota masyarakat Dayak menyertai perkhidmatan awam dalam tempoh dua atau

tiga tahun akan datang.

SPA-DAYAK 2 (AKHIR) KUCHING

Dr Dusit berkata berdasarkan maklum balas yang diterima, sesetengah pencari

pekerjaan menghadapi masalah untuk mengakses laman web SPA, terutama mereka dari

kawasan luar bandar yang tidak mempunyai kemudahan Internet.

Agak ramai juga yang sangsi kerana selepas membuat permohonan secara dalam

talian, mereka tidak menerima sebarang panggilan untuk menghadiri temuduga dan

perkara ini perlu ditangani SPA, katanya.

Beliau berkata peranan menangani perkara itu juga kini terletak di bahu

anggota masyarakat Dayak kerana Suruhanjaya Pilihan Raya juga menghadapi

kesulitan untuk mendapatkan anggota masyarakat itu mendaftar sebagai pengundi.

Bagaimanapun, usaha mendapatkan belia Dayak memberi respons mengenainya

melalui program radio dan media begitu menggalakkan kebelakangan ini, manakala

beberapa penulis blog pula menulis mengenainya dalam blog dan facebook mereka.

Antara Januari dan September tahun ini, 2,997 warga Sarawak dilantik dan

ditawarkan menjalani latihan dalam perkhidmatan awam persekutuan, dengan kaum

Melayu mencatat jumlah tertinggi menerima pelantikan iaitu seramai 849 orang

atau 28 peratus, diikuti Iban 722 (24 peratus), Cina 535 (17 peratus), Bidayuh

475 (15.8 peratus), Melanau 257 (8.6 peratus) dan Orang Ulu 96 (3 peratus).

Dalam tempoh yang sama, SPA menerima 66,699 permohonan untuk mengisi

pelbagai jawatan, termasuk 26,233 (39 peratus) daripada kaum Melayu, Iban

(16,578), Bidayuh (8,327), Melanau (6,218), Cina (5,062) dan Orang Ulu

(3,315).
