Dundee United can keep their fine run of form going when they visit struggling Hibernian in this weekend’s Scottish Premier League clash at Easter Road.

Peter Houston’s in-form Tangerines heaped yet more misery on Ally McCoist’s Rangers at the weekend and United have embarked on a fine run of seven matches without defeat as they begin to sharpen their focus on a European spot this term.

Houston’s men will relish the trip to face Hibs on Saturday and are rated as 23/20 (2.15) favourites with William Hill to bag another three points when they visit Scotland’s capital city.

Hibernian sit just four points clear of bottom club Dunfermline with just one league home win in 15 attempts this season and Pat Fenlon’s men will also need to shrug off the bitter disappointment of a derby defeat after slipping to a 2-0 loss against local rivals Hearts at Tynecastle last weekend.

Hibs are chalked up at 2/1 (3.0) by William Hill while the same firm offer 21/10 (3.10) on the match ending all square.

Dundee United have scored an impressive 28 goals in 14 away league matches this season and Jon Daly, with 18 goals to his name to this term, will be relishing a trip to face a defence which has leaked 57 goals in 30 league games this term.

Hibs have been somewhat shot-shy at Easter Road this term and have netted just 12 goals in their 15 home matches this season so the 10/1 (11.0) price quoted by William Hill for Dundee United to win 2-0 on Saturday carries plenty of appeal while the 7/1 (8.0) quote for United to win 1-0 also looks like decent value.

The 100/30 (4.33) from William Hill for Dundee United to win but under three goals to be scored in the match might be an attractive option for those not willing to play the correct score market while the chunky 5/2 (3.50) quote for Dundee United to be the only team to score also represents fine value for punters.
