KUALA LUMPUR, 16 Feb (Bernama) -- Syarikat Perumahan Negara Berhad (SPNB)

bakal membina 19,000 lagi Rumah Mesra Rakyat 1Malaysia (RMR1M) di seluruh negara

tahun ini.

Ketua Pegawai Teknikal SPNB Datuk Ahmad Azizi Ali berkata SPNB telah membina

sebanyak 19,700 unit RMR1M dengan subsidi kerajaan sebanyak RM20,000 setiap unit

sejak program RMR diperkenalkan pada 2002.

"Kos sebenar sebuah RMR1M ialah RM65,000 dan kerajaan memberi subsidi

sebanyak RM20,000 setiap unit supaya pembeli tidak dibebankan dengan kos yang

tinggi, mereka hanya menanggung kos RM45,000 seunit," katanya selepas merasmikan

Program Hari SPNB bersama Media 2013 di sini hari ini.

Selain memberi subsidi kepada pembinaan RMR1M, kerajaan juga menanggung kos

tambahan yang diperlukan untuk kerja ambil alih dan menyiapkan projek perumahan

yang terbengkalai.

"Kerajaan tidak mahu membebankan rakyat, oleh itu SPNB tidak dibenarkan

menaikkan harga rumah yang terbengkalai, sebaliknya kami menyiapkan rumah

tersebut dan kos tambahan ditanggung sepenuhnya kerajaan," katanya.

SPNB-RUMAH 2 (AKHIR) Kuala Lumpur

Program bersama media yang bertemakan "Selamatkan Gaza" itu diadakan di Kem

Isi Rimba, Hulu Kemensah di sini turut dimeriahkan dengan pelbagai aktiviti

riadah dan penyerahan sumbangan RM2,300 oleh pekerja SPNB untuk Tabung Gaza.

Azizi berkata SPNB juga kini giat menyiapkan dua projek perumahan yang

terbengkalai lebih 10 tahun di Batu Pahat dan Tangkak, Johor.

"Taman Jasa Amir di Batu Pahat melibatkan 50 unit rumah manakala terdapat 60

unit rumah terbengkalai di Taman Tangkak Emas, Tangkak dan ia melibatkan kos

lebih RM20juta," katanya.

Sementara itu, Azizi berkata SPNB juga telah memulakan pembinaan fasa kedua

rumah mampu milik di Laguna Biru, Rawang yang mempunyai 1,200 unit rumah

berharga antara RM160,000 ke RM170,000 dan dijangka siap Jan 2015.
