SINGAPURA, 17 Jun (Bernama) -- Agensi Alam Sekitar Kebangsaan (NEA) menarik

perhatian Kementerian Alam Sekitar Indonesia mengenai keadaan jerebu yang

dialami di Singapura dan menggesa negara itu menimbang langkah segera bagi

mengurangkan jerebu rentas sempadan.

Dalam satu kenyataan hari ini, NEA berkata ia akan terus memantau keadaan

dari dekat dan memberikan maklumat terkini bila perlu.

Sejak pagi ini, jerebu begitu jelas berlaku dan bau kebakaran dikesan di

banyak kawasan di Singapura.

Keadaan cuaca kering di rantau ini menyebabkan peningkatan aktiviti di titik

panas terutama di bahagian tengah Sumatra.

NEA berkata 101 dan 138 titik panas dikesan di Sumatra masing-masing pada 15

dan 16 Jun.

Jerebu asap dari pembakaran di Sumatra dibawa oleh angin kencang yang

bertiup dari barat daya atau barat, dan telah menjejas Singapura sejak 13 Jun

lepas.

Keadaan berjerebu dijangka berterusan beberapa hari lagi. Bacaan Indeks

Standard Pencemaran (PSI) 24-jam pada 4 petang ini adalah antara 68 ke 83, iaitu

dalam julat Sederhana.

Bacaan PSI 3-jam pada 4 petang ialah 111.

Berikutan keadaan berjerebu sekarang, NEA menasihatkan kanak-kanak, orang

tua dan mereka yang menghidap sakit jantung dan paru-paru, mengurangkan aktiviti

luar yang berat dan berpanjangan.

Mereka yang lain perlu menghadkan aktiviti sedemikian.
