KUALA LUMPUR, 30 Sept (Bernama) -- Polis hari ini menembak mati salah

seorang daripada tiga suspek yang disyaki terbabit menembak dua anggota polis

peronda di Jalan Kuchai Lama, di sini, Rabu lalu.

Dalam insiden kira-kira pukul 3 pagi, suspek berusia 32 tahun itu melarikan

diri apabila kereta jenis Proton Waja yang dipandunya cuba ditahan polis

berhampiran pusat membeli-belah Mid Valley di sini.

Ketua Jabatan Siasatan Jenayah, Ibu Pejabat Polis Kontinjen (IPK) Kuala

Lumpur, Datuk Ku Chin Wah berkata suspek yang menaiki kereta itu seorang diri

enggan berhenti lalu dikejar anggota polis sehingga kenderaan suspek terbabas di

kawasan parkir Taman Desa Water Park.

"Apabila anggota polis menghampiri kenderaan tersebut untuk membuat

pemeriksaan, suspek keluar daripada keretanya dan melepaskan beberapa das

tembakan," katanya pada sidang media di sini.

Ku berkata sebagai langkah mempertahankan diri, anggota polis terpaksa

membalas tembakan sehingga suspek terbunuh di tempat kejadian.

POLIS-TEMBAK 2 (AKHIR) KUALA LUMPUR

Beliau berkata hasil pemeriksaan, polis menemui sepucuk pistol semi

automatik berwarna silver mengandungi sebutir peluru hidup, satu kelopak

mengandungi sebutir peluru hidup 9mm jenis Luger, dua butir kelongsong peluru

jenis Luger dan sebuah kapak dalam kereta tersebut.

Beliau berkata kenderaan yang digunakan suspek dilaporkan hilang di Kelana

Jaya pada Ogos lepas.

Katanya mayat suspek dihantar ke Hospital Kuala Lumpur untuk dibedah siasat.

Ku berkata pihak polis sedang mengesan dua lagi individu iaitu Wan

Fadrulzaman Wan Mohamad Fadil, 30, berasal dari Lanchang Mentakab, Pahang dan

seorang remaja berusia 17 tahun untuk membantu siasatan kes itu.

Dalam kejadian kira-kira 6.45 petang Rabu lalu, Koperal R. Subramanian, 52,

dan Koperal Nor Azlan Abu Bakar, 41, ditembak ketika cuba melakukan pemeriksaan

ke atas sebuah kereta yang dinaiki empat lelaki di persimpangan lampu isyarat di

kawasan Lebuhraya Kuala Lumpur-Putrajaya berdekatan Kuchai Lama di sini.

Subramaniam cedera di bahagian perut dan rakan setugasnya Nor Azlan cedera

di leher dan keadaan mereka dilaporkan stabil di Pusat Perubatan Universiti

Malaya (PPUM), Petaling Jaya.
