Pihak berkuasa Sweden memberi layanan baik kepada pasangan Malaysia yang ditahan di penjara negara itu kerana didakwa memukul tangan seorang daripada anak mereka yang tidak bersolat.

Pengerusi Biro Aduan Komuniti Pemuda Umno, Sheikh Nafiq Alfirdaous, berkata perkara itu dimaklumkan Duta Besar Malaysia ke Sweden, Datuk Badruddin Ab Rahman kepada beliau menerusi perbualan telefon hampir sejam malam tadi.

Sheikh Nafiq berkata, beliau juga dimaklumkan bahawa pasangan itu turut diberi kelengkapan untuk menunaikan solat seperti sejadah sejak mereka ditahan 18 Disember lalu.

"Saya juga dimaklumkan bahawa memandangkan kes ini di peringkat siasatan awal, reman diperlukan sehingga 30 Januari ini untuk membantu siasatan dan mendapatkan maklumat lanjut.

"Reman pihak berkuasa di sana tiada batasan dan tiada tempoh maksimum seperti di negara kita (dua minggu)," kata Sheikh Nafiq kepada pemberita di pejabatnya di Kuala Lumpur, hari ini.

Pasangan itu, Azizul Raheem Awalludin dan isteri, Shalwati Norshal, guru yang bercuti tanpa gaji, ditahan pada 18 Disember untuk membantu siasatan kerana didakwa memukul tangan seorang daripada anak mereka yang tidak bersolat.

Sheikh Nafiq berkata, kedutaan Malaysia di Sweden turut memaklumkan bahawa siasatan itu bergantung kepada tiga situasi iaitu pertama, pihak pendakwa raya akan mengemukakan pendakwaan jika terdapat bukti yang kukuh dan cukup.

"Kedua, jika tidak cukup bukti, reman akan dilanjutkan dan ketiga, jika tiada apa-apa, akan gugurkan kes dan pasangan itu akan dibebaskan," katanya.

Beliau berkata, turut dimaklumkan pasangan itu akan diadili oleh mahkamah sivil dan seorang peguam dilantik oleh pihak berkuasa Sweden bagi mewakili mereka.

Katanya, Kedutaan Malaysia menemui peguam berkenaan untuk mendapatkan perkembangan lanjut dan terkini serta sentiasa memantau situasi pasangan itu.

Mengenai empat anak pasangan itu, Sheikh Nafiq berkata, seorang lagi peguam yang dilantik kerajaan Sweden berjaya dihubungi pihaknya dan sedang dalam proses untuk mengaturkan pertemuan tidak lama lagi.

"Misi kami adalah untuk membawa balik kanak-kanak itu atau dengan segera tukar penjagaan sementara kepada keluarga Islam. Oleh itu, wakil peguam kami ingin jumpa peguam itu untuk mendapatkan penjelasan lanjut," katanya.

Kedutaan Malaysia di Sweden memaklumkan Mahkamah Pentadbiran di bawah The Social Services Act and the Care of Young Persons (Special Provisions) Act meletakkan kanak-kanak itu di bawah pengawasan Khidmat Sosial.

Mahkamah itu membuat keputusan berdasarkan prinsip "the best interest of this children" (atas kepentingan kanak-kanak ini) dan menyerahkan penjagaan mereka kepada keluarga angkat terpilih mengikut kriteria, syarat dan undang-undang negara itu.

Sheikh Nafiq berkata, wakil kedutaan juga mendapat kebenaran untuk menemui semua kanak-kanak itu empat hari lalu kerana sebelum ini hanya dapat berhubung melalui panggilan telefon.

Selain itu, beliau berkata, pihaknya menemui Timbalan Ketua Kaunselor di Kedutaan Sweden di Malaysia, Sven Theus Malmberg petang semalam untuk mendapatkan penjelasan mengenai kes itu termasuk daripada sudut undang-undang.

Katanya, pihak terbabit faham akan sensitiviti kes ini dan tidak mahu mengaitkannnya dengan agama Islam yang boleh mengganggu hubungan kedua-dua negara.

Sheikh Nafiq berkata, pihaknya optimis dapat menyelesaikan kes itu dalam masa terdekat termasuk membawa pulang kanak-kanak itu kerana mereka langsung tidak terlibat dalam sebarang kes jenayah. - Bernama, 21 Januari, 2014.
