KUALA LUMPUR, 8 Julai (Bernama) -- Kementerian Pendidikan menetapkan syarat

baharu minima 7A bagi pelajar lepasan Sijil Pelajaran Malaysia (SPM) dari

semenanjung untuk memohon menceburi profesion perguruan bermula tahun ini.

Menteri Pendidikan Datuk Seri Idris Jusoh berkata kelonggaran minima 5A

diberikan kepada mereka yang tinggal di Sabah dan Sarawak.

Langkah itu bagi memartabatkan profesion perguruan di negara ini dan sejajar

dengan hasrat kementerian mahukan 30 peratus lulusan SPM terbaik menyertai

profesion itu, katanya ketika menggulung perbahasan usul menjunjung kasih titah

Yang di-Pertuan Agong di Dewan Rakyat di sini.

Ketika ini, syarat asas mendapat cemerlang sekurang-kurangnya dalam tiga

mata pelajaran dan kepujian dalam tiga mata pelajaran iaitu Bahasa Melayu,

Sejarah dan satu mata pelajaran lain serta lulus Bahasa Inggeris selain

kelayakan khusus bagi bidang pengajian yang dipohon.

Sementara itu, Idris berkata kementerian juga sedang mengkaji bagaimana

untuk meringankan beban guru dalam pelaksanaan sistem pengurusan pentaksiran

berasaskan sekolah (PBS) selain daripada menambah bilangan pembantu guru seperti

yang telah dilaksanakan di Kedah dan Sabah.

Katanya, antara perkara yang diambil kira ialah penyediaan laporan yang

tidak perlu terlalu banyak perincian dalam membuat penilaian mereka.
