KUALA TERENGGANU, June 11 (Bernama) -- The Terengganu Lawn Bowls Association

(TLBA) today listed six men and six women bowlers to represent the state at the

lawn bowls event of the 15th Malaysia Games (Sukma) in Kuantan next month.

Its secretary, Ahmad Hisham Hassan, who is also the team manager, said eight

of the bowlers, four men and four women, were from the team which represented

the state at Sukma 2010 held in Melaka.

"I believe we can create a surprise in the upcoming Sukma as compared to the

one in Melaka whereby we only won one gold, two silver and three bronze medals,"

he told Bernama, here.

He said all the athletes had been given a lot of exposure in national

tournaments since last year and he was confident that the team would qualify for

the finals in the mixed pairs, mixed fours and women''s singles based on their

current performance.

Ahmad Hisham said Terengganu was also confident of bringing back two gold

and several silver and bronze medals from the tournament.
