Top cop promises to track Ambank murderer – Bernama

The police will go all out to nab the murderer of Ambank officer, Norazita Abu Talib (pic), who was shot dead by a security guard in a murder-cum-robbery at the bank's branch at Jalan USJ Central 2, Subang Jaya, yesterday.

Inspector General of Police Tan Sri Khalid Abu Bakar today tweeted: "All efforts are being deployed to apprehend the Ambank murderer."

Norazita, 37, was shot in the face by the 37-year-old guard after she had opened the bank's strong room with four other colleagues in the 6pm incident.

Meanwhile, a 32-second video recording of the incident went viral on Facebook today showing Norazita, who wore a red baju kurung, and one of her colleagues opening the vault when suddenly she fell down after a shot was fired from a distance behind a CCTV camera in the bank.

Upon hearing the shot Norazita's friend stood still in panic. Seconds later, a security guard holding a pump-gun took the women away from the vault before fleeing with some cash from the strongroom.

Norazita was a mother of two and had been working at Ambank for 16 years.

The security guard, who fled with an undisclosed amount of cash on a motorcycle, has been identified as a 37-year-old Sabahan with a fake IC.
