Truly a Worthy Book? The Ladies Edition

The latest instalment of Worthy Book is out featuring deals specially designed for women. Retailing at RM29.90; the book touts vouchers claiming to save you up to RM1586. So, you mean I only fork out RM29.90 for over 50 times the value? I wondered if it may be too good to be true. So we decided to dissect the worthy book to see if it’s really worthy of your money.

The list of merchants

Truthfully, I’d waste a LOT of space listing every merchant so here’s the highlighted few: Beaubelle, bluunis, De'cleor, Himalaya, Jojoba Spa, Jurlique, Colour Culture, Glow & Glamour, Slimming Sanctuary, Nature's Farm, New York Skin, Royale Spa, SOTHYS, SkinLab, Vila Manja and Xixili.

The worthiest contenders

The book has many, many vouchers but we’re looking for the ‘meatiest’ discounts – cash vouchers, buy 1 free 1 deals and chunky discounts – none of the lightweight ‘buy RM200 worth and get an umbrella’ type things (although Malaysia is very rainy. No harm meant to umbrella enthusiasts; it’s just space constraints!).

The RinggitPlus Verdict

Using only the highest discounts and the minimum spends allowed; savings reach almost RM1045.50. This hardly scratches the surface as the book is a chock-ful of 10-30% discounts not mentioned above.

So is it worthy of your RM30? It really depends how you use it. If you use many of the services above, it will be worth it but it is important to note that many vouchers limit usage to new customers. If you’re looking to branch out and try new facials, slimming services and spas – this is THE book for you.

Overall value verdict: 4/5 - good offers, your RM30 back many times over but do check the fine print and qualifications to see how much you qualify to get from the Worthy Book.
