MARANG, 16 Mei (Bernama) -- Polis berjaya menumpaskan kumpulan

''Pecah Rumah Payung'' yang aktif melakukan jenayah pecah rumah di sekitar sini

dan Kuala Terengganu sejak Januari lalu dengan tertangkapnya dua anggota mereka.

Suspek utama yang berumur 23 dan 25 tahun ditahan Sabtu lalu bersama

peralatan pecah rumah seperti tukul besi, pengumpil tayar kenderaan, gegaji besi

dan sebahagian barangan yang dicuri.

Ketua Jabatan Siasatan Jenayah Negeri, ACP K.Manoharan berkata kedua-duanya

ditahan pada tengah malam di tepi jalan dekat Bukit Payung di dalam kereta yang

disewa mereka untuk melakukan jenayah tersebut.

Beliau berkata ekoran daripada penahan itu, pihaknya berjaya menahan lima

lagi suspek di sekitar Marang pada Ahad hingga semalam.

"Dengan tertangkap kesemua suspek, pihak polis berjaya menemui kembali

barangan yang dicuri termasuk tujuh buah komputer riba dan telefon bimbit yang

keseluruhannya dianggar bernilai kira-kira RM30,000.

POLIS-PECAH RUMAH 2 (AKHIR) MARANG

"Suspek utama merupakan buruan polis kerana terlibat dalam kes

jenayah pecah rumah di dua daerah tersebut dan ketika ditahan polis turut

menemui sejumlah dadah bersama mereka," katanya kepada pemberita di sini.

Manoharan berkata kumpulan itu sering mengumpil pintu rumah mangsa dengan

menggunakan pengumpil tayar.

Beliau berkata dengan tertangkapnya kesemua suspek yang berusia antara 20

hingga 34 tahun itu, pihaknya percaya dapat menyelesaikan 13 kes pecah rumah

yang melibatkan 11 kes di Marang dan dua kes di Kuala Terengganu.

"Kita telah mengenal pasti beberapa pembeli yang membeli barangan daripada

kumpulan ini dan diminta mereka datang ke Ibu Pejabat Polis Daerah Marang

untuk menyerahkan barangan curi tersebut," katanya.

Kesemua suspek kini ditahan reman untuk siasatan lanjut kes yang

disiasat di bawah Seksyen 457 Kanun Keseksaan atas kesalahan pecah rumah

dan Seksyen 411 Kanun Keseksaan kerana memiliki barangan curi.
