TWO ORGANISATIONS RECEIVES MEDICAL EQUIPMENTS WORTH RM100,000

KUALA LUMPUR, Feb 27 (Bernama) -- St John Ambulance and St Mark''s Cozy Home,

a care centre for the elderly, today received medical equipment worth RM75,000

and RM25,000 respectively from the Rotary Club of Pudu.

The medical equipment for St John Ambulance would be fixed to three of its

ambulances, while a physiotherapy equipment is donated St Mark''s Cozy Homes to

enable the home to conduct the necessary excercises for the elderly.

Pudu Rotary Club president Datuk Steven Oon said the medical equipment is to

provide prelimenary treatment to patients in the ambulances while on the way to

hospitals especially during heavy traffic.

"While for the St Mark''s Cozy Home, we provide physiotherapy equipment that

could be used to train resident physiotherapists to administer the necessary

exercise for the elderly," he told reporters after presenting the equipment at

St Marks'' Cozy Home in Sungai Buloh, near here.
