Barisan Nasional (BN) Sarawak dan pemimpin kerajaan negeri menyambut baik ucapan

Datuk Seri Najib Tun Razak pada sambutan ulang tahun ke-50 Hari Malaysia hari

ini.

Mereka menyifatkan ucapan perdana menteri sebagai pengiktirafan kepada

sumbangan Sarawak dari segi sosial dan ekonomi kepada Malaysia.

Timbalan Presiden Parti Pesaka Bumiputera Bersatu (PBB) yang juga Menteri

Perumahan dan Pelancongan Sarawak Datuk Amar Abang Johari Tun Openg berkata

ucapan itu juga petanda kerajaan pusat mengiktiraf pelbagai program pembangunan

yang sedang dan akan dilaksanakan di negeri ini.

"Ucapan perdana menteri membuktikan pemimpin di peringkat pusat mengiktiraf

Sarawak, termasuk kemampuan negeri untuk terus membangun pada masa depan yang

dilihat cerah dengan sokongan antara kedua-dua kepimpinan (pusat dan negeri).

"Saya percaya kerjasama erat antara kedua-dua kerajaan ini akan memberikan

suasana dan semangat yang baik dalam kita membangunkan negeri," katanya.

Beliau berkata demikian kepada pemberita ketika diminta mengulas inti pati

ucapan perdana menteri pada istiadat Perbarisan dan Rapat Raksasa sambutan

perayaan Hari Malaysia ke-50 di Padang Merdeka di sini hari ini.

Menurut Abang Johari, ucapan penuh bersemangat perdana menteri itu juga

membuktikan Sarawak berada di landasan tepat untuk terus berjaya bagi tempoh 50

tahun akan datang.

Presiden Parti Rakyat Sarawak (PRS) Tan Sri Dr James Jemut Masing berkata

ucapan perdana menteri memberi penanda aras baharu kepada hubungan kerajaan

persekutuan dan negeri, di samping menjanjikan pembangunan bagi negeri ini.

Beliau berkata ucapan Najib amat tepat sekali dalam mengiktiraf Sarawak

sebagai sebuah daripada negeri yang menyumbang bukan saja kepada pembentukan

Malaysia, tetapi juga pembangunan keseluruhan.

"Ucapan itu amat baik bagi kami (Sarawak)," kata Masing yang juga Menteri

Pembangunan Tanah Sarawak.

Presiden Parti Demokratik Progresif Sarawak (SPDP) Tan Sri William Mawan

Ikom berkata sambutan Hari Malaysia ke-50 hari ini jelas menggambarkan keupayaan

Sarawak untuk menjayakan apa jua perancangan tanpa mengira sudut ekonomi mahupun

sosial.

"Perdana menteri sangat gembira, beliau memberi galakan kepada kami, bukan

setakat apa yang kami capai sekarang tetapi juga bagi masa depan yang perlu

dikekalkan.

"Pada hari ini, kami berusaha menampilkan ''persembahan'' yang mengingatkan

tentang kejayaan kami, dilengkapkan dengan kesepakatan, kepelbagaian dan

keharmonian untuk mengingatkan rakyat tentang apa yang kita kecapi selama ini,"

kata Mawan yang juga Menteri Pembangunan Sosial negeri.

Menteri Sumber Manusia yang juga Timbalan Presiden Parti Rakyat Bersatu

Sarawak (SUPP) Datuk Richard Riot berkata hubungan rapat antara kedua-dua

kerajaan membawa kestabilan politik, justeru itu, perdana menteri mengharapkan

hubungan baik yang terjalin itu terus berkekalan.

"Kita (Sarawak) yakin mampu mengekalkan suasana aman damai ini yang akan

turut membawa keadaan terjamin bagi perkembangan ekonomi yang baik kepada

kerajaan pusat dan negeri," katanya.
