Arizona Crew Rescue Elderly Man Trapped in Floodwaters

Authorities in northeast Arizona rescued a man whose became stranded after driving his jeep into a flooded area of Mohave County on August 12.

According to Mohave County Sheriff’s Office Search and Rescue, crews used a helicopter “to perform a one-skip maneuver” to load the 73-year-old male into the chopper. “He is very lucky to be alive,” the office said on Facebook.

This footage shows the rescue operation in Golden Valley on Friday.

On Saturday, deputies posted additional images from the rescue and reminded the public that driving through flooded roads should be avoided as it is “very dangerous and can be deadly.” Credit: Mohave County Sheriff’s Office via Storyful
