Cold Front Brings Snow to Northern Utah

Snow accumulated throughout Utah’s Cottonwood Canyons on Thursday, March 28, as the National Weather Service issued a winter weather advisory for parts of the state.

Footage and images from the Utah Department of Transportation (UDOT) Cottonwood Canyons shows snow blanketing SR 190, near Storm Mountain.

The UDOT asked drivers to watch for ice and slow down, and reminded them to use traction devices.

The NWS issued a winter weather advisory valid until tonight.

“A period of moderate to heavy snow is expected along and behind a cold front between 2 and 6 PM this evening. Snow will shift to a more showery mode after this time,” the agency said. Credit: UDOT Cottonwood Canyons via Storyful
