Satellite Imagery Shows Storm Moving Across Eastern US and Canada

A “large mid-latitude cyclone” was moving across a swath of land stretching from the southeastern United States to southeastern Canada on Wednesday, March 27.

Satellite imagery from the Cooperative Institute for Research in the Atmosphere (CIRA) shows the storm system moving across the eastern half of North America.

According to the National Weather Service (NWS), there is a marginal risk of severe thunderstorms for parts of the near-coastal southeastern US on Wednesday, with isolated severe hail and damaging winds forecast. Credit: CSU/CIRA & NOAA via Storyful
