Truck Damaged After Tornado Touches Down in Gaylord, Michigan

A tornado touched down in Gaylord, Michigan, on Friday, May 20, damaging “multiple homes and businesses,” vehicles, trees, and power lines, according to Michigan State Police (MSP).

Emergency crews were responding to the scene and people were advised to avoid the Gaylord area, MSP said.

This footage, captured by Mike Young, shows damage to what he said was a “brand new truck” belonging to his co-worker.

According to Young, the windows of the truck were blown out by the force of the tornado, and pieces of a roof from a store in Gaylord were found on the back seat. Credit: Mike Young via Storyful
